The Boss of Oneplay Networks, George Wiredu Duah, mostly known in the entertainment industry as Nana Yaw Wiredu has made a daring assertion that the Creative industry can also be blamed on the spike in Covid counts in Ghana.
While on Zylofon Showbiz Agenda, Nana Yaw Wiredu unlike other pundits on th show was not quick to point accusing fingers on the goverment and politicians as others did on the surge of Covid-19 cases with it accompanying restrictions in Ghana.
Although the creative industry has been hit hard, Nana Yaw Wiredu believes that, the politicians and goverment can not take the full blame, but some creative people and patrons can also be held accountable for this. To him people like D black, Sarkodie and some very popular event organizers explored the little chance given to cash in with little or no regards for the Covid-19 protocols.
In other spheres artist like Sarkodie, Kuami Eugene, Shatta Wale and some influential creative artist chose their stomachs over proper industry conversations on how the government can assit the creative artist indutry in these Covid times.
While cinemas remained closed by the goverment, actors did not see anything wrong with join these politicians in organising crowded campaigns and rallies with little or no respect to Covid protocols.
To him, crowded parties, clubs, pubs and other entertainment shows contributed massively to the spike in Covid cases and not just the actions of the Politicians.
