The new Wizkid Album that was set for release on Fela Kuti birthday – 15th October did not make it to stores, fans cannot find the album.
The announcement of the album titled Made In Lagos got fans of the ‘Fever’ hit maker happy because they have been waiting for the full dosage after hit single SMILE was released off the project but unfortunately due to the current situation in Nigeria, Wizkid has to push.
In a series of post on social media by Wizkid, it looked like all was set for the new Made in Lagos album as the singer even dropped some hot singles off the yet to released album.
Unfortunately for fans of Wizkid, they have to wait another time and date for the much anticipated album as the singer communicated that he does not feel it is right to release a body of work looking at how heated things are in Nigeria.
Wizkid is pushing the album back in support of the whole End Sars, end SMAT and police brutality happenings in Nigeria.
In the past days Wizkid has been very vocal about the end SARS campaign and still is championing the end police brutality against the youth of Nigeria.
To show his full commitment to the people of Nigeria, Wizkid was seen bashing fellow musician Rekaado banks for trying to release music that features him in these times.
Let Africa not take for granted the sacrifices the youth of Nigeria have done in pursuit for their freedom. We applaud every musician and celebrity for their contributions but we applaud the youth of Nigeria for standing for their right.
We don’t know when a new Made in Lagos album date will be announced but until then, lets ENDSARS and police brutality in Nigeria.
