The last time musical trio Praye was on the same stage for performance was in 2018 at the VGMAs.
As welcoming as the performance was, it did not evoke the very feeling they had always had on us.
It was a great performance by all standards but it lacked the element of sync and proper coordination.
Their stagecraft was simply off and which became clear in the way they carried themselves on the stage.
In simple words, fans were not thrilled, they were not electrified, at least I was and it could be pinned on the fact that they had just gotten back after separating for reasons best known to them.
From then, they tried to bring back the old mojo but it was never the same which eventually led to their second separation with lots of controversies.
Praye Tintin and Tietia were together for a while, trying to do music that equally did not serve the fans well.
On the other hand, Praye Honeho otherwise known as Choirmaster remains the one who thrived when they went their separate ways.
He dropped hits after hits for a while before he went a hiatus too.
Praye is a musical trio originally formed by three friends Eugene Baah (Praye Honeho), Steven Fiawoo ( Praye Tietia) and Nana Kwame ( Praye Tintin). They shot to fame in 2007 and released back to back hits with the popular ones being Shody, Jacket, Angelina, Kaky3r3 mi amongst others.
They choose the name Praye because of the concept of the broom. The broom signifies unity and so Praye was symbolic for that.
Unfortunately, they could not make good on that and went their separate ways. Today, we are here to reminisce on 7 of their songs that we still jam to anything it is heard.
