5 New Music from Ghana featuring Kelvynboy, Sarkodie, Samini, Mishasha, and Tafoarabi – Watch

November came bearing gifts of music to music lovers as 5 new music was released in Ghana.

Our new music highlights a new female songstress Mishasha. The ‘Addition’ hitmaker enlists “Inveecinble” Mzvee for her new song titled 1 by 1.  The list also selects new artist Lebanese Rapper @tafoarabi and @spacely1z’s new track “T-Rex”.

While Kelvynboy’s STYLE off his Black Star album also made our list of new music to enjoy, Sarkodie and Samini are in there with their politically correct endorsed songs for Ghana’s sitting president – Nana Addo.

Mishasha ft MzVee – 1by1

The female dancehall collaboration is tagged as the very recent one in the Ghanaian music space. Mzvee who is known for countless dancehall songs supports new female songstress Misasha on a new jam.

Kelvynboy – Style

The whole country is waiting for his new album BLACK STAR. With a successful launch over the weekend, Kelvynboy whose new song, STYLE is off the album uses this single as a teaser to the main album. The new album will be out on November 6th.

Samini – Kpoyaka

Dancehall artist and forever king Samini is also on the list with his political endorsement song for Ghana’s Sitting president. Samini first made his intentions known with a post calling out the president and asking fans to guess what is coming.

Then a post by the President confirmed that Samini the MOBO award-winning artist is campaigning for the party in power – NPP in Ghana. The song Kpoyaka produced by JMJ already has taken over the streets as many love it.

Rapper @tafoarabi and @spacely1z’s new track “T-Rex”.

Ghana-based Lebanese Rapper Tafo, an affiliate of Labadi Music, has teamed up with $pacely to release a new hip-hop single titled ’T-Rex’. The song is very wavy and will get you nodding throughout.

Sarkodie ft Kuami Eugene – Happy Day

In his new single released recently titled Happy Day, Africa’s most decorated rapper categorically stated that his support for this year’s elections is for the sitting president – Nana Addo.

5 New Music from Ghana featuring Rapper EL, Worlasi & Drvmroll, Mzvee, R2bees, Wizkid

Our new music weekly highlight this week features new music from Ghanaian stars EL, the VO Nation, and Afroboss drops another certified banger, the Natural girl MzVee enlists Medikal on her new jam Hallelujah off her new album ‘inVeencible’, Worlasi and, Drvmroll takes us through the yet to be released EP- “Did it ourselves” (DIOS) with the first single called Kilode.

R2bees certifies the come back of Azonto with their new jam Yawa featuring Sarkodie while Wizkid finally releases his Made in Lagos tape for fans with Ginger featuring Burna Boy.

EL – Still Papping

Let’s start with rapper EL. The Afroboss stamps his feet on the come back of Azonto with another monster certified December hit song called: ’Still Papping”.

The song takes you back to the days of ‘Obuumo’, ‘Kaalu’, and ‘shelele’. Still, Papping is groovy and uptempo. Looks like EL has the antidote to his fans asking for danceable songs because this is a sure banger.

Mzvee ft Medikal – Hallelujah

The natural girl now turned Sheriff is set to drop a new album on us called: inVeecinble. The album will show us Mzvee’s growth in the music industry.  To kick off the album, the “Baby” hitmaker just released one track off the tape called: “Hallelujah” featuring Medikal.

MzVee uses her experience and growth in the music space to thank her God for how far she has come. Hallelujah is not a beautiful song but it is an afrobeat song to look out for in the future.

Watch the The Boldz directed video by Mzvee here:

Worlasi & DrvmRoll – Kilode

Kilode (Why, in Yoruba), is the first single and second track off the collaborative #DIOSEP by young Ghanaian artists, @worlasigh & @drvmroll

Worlasi and @wes7ar22 express their frustration in what seems to be an “On & Off situation-ship” between them and their ladies.

R2bees ft Sarkodie – Yawa

The new R2bees song featuring Sarkodie is uptempo which is quite different from their previous collaborations with Sarkodie. The duo, Mugeez, and Pae Dae AKA Omar Sterling have always delivered on any music genre that has tried so far including Hi-life music.

Yawa by r2bees is one for Christmas. The new song is in line with Ghana’s Azonto and it got us believing that Azonto is really coming back.

Wizkid ft Burna Boy – Ginger

Starboy Wizkid drops the “Made In Lagos” album after postponing it due to the then #EndSars protests happening in Nigeria. The new album titled Made in Lagos has some amazing features from the likes of Damian Marley to Burna Boy, HER, and more.

Ginger off the Made In Lagos album is an afrobeat jam that brings out the soft side of Wizkid.

The writing camp also brought unity between artists in Ghana as almost every artist of our time was at this camp to either record, help create music or collaborate with another artist.

This Unity between @killbeatzgh @sarkodie @iamkingpromise and all the guys is just beautiful. So damn beautiful. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

So what is a writing camp?

For those of you who don’t know what songwriting camp is, well, it’s a gathering of producers and top liners in a pre-selected location for the purpose of cross pollenating creativity and writing. A camp can last for a few days or a week or longer.

If the above definition for a writing camp is anything to go by then we will say it is the music form of a corporate retreat. These camps in the past are often organized by labels who want an album written for an artist.

At Sarkodie’s writing camp, we saw a lot of artists recording with different artist and the whole music mood created was something the industry needed to boost Mojoe of musicians especially in this Covid 19 era.

Music and musicians were hugely hit with this pandemic as many had to return performance booking fees to agents due to the pandemic so a camp of this nature could not have come at a better time for our African artists and producers.

Let us share a few of the things you might have missed from the camp.

  1. At the Camp, Sarkodie brought together 2/3 of the whole music industry. A picture of every artist at the writing camp showed that there was unity among our musicians and they had fun.

The ladies were not left out. At the writing camp we saw our female stars for the first time bonding. Sefa, Efya, Mzvee, others had their best time at this writing camp. 7 out of 10  of the time this things happen without our female stars present so to see them been involved made us happy.

The Camp brought together some of the continent’s best producers such as Rex on the beat, kill beatz just to list a few. The co-production power behind some of the songs we will hear when these records come out will  obviously blow our minds.

Writing skills improvement. We saw from the pictures and short videos how Sarkodie and other artists were always with every artist before they recorded their music. We saw Sarkodie with the ladies where he spent time in listening to them before they recorded. We hoping that this will influence our music in a great way as we go back to been lyrically strong again.

Teaching of branding and Imaging as an artist. For every artist that had the chance to spend some time with Sarkodie, we are expecting that they would have learnt a thing or two about how to make a brand solid. All the videos and pictures released from the camp were properly cut and treated for the glam. Some times the music cannot speak but the images will do a lot of talking.

Freedom: we saw how Sarkodie for the first was dancing a lot. A video of himself and King Promise got social media buzzing – that means there was freedom of creation at the camp. Artists had lot of freedom to do what they want to do and hopefully it reflects on the music.

Wait for the @iamkingpromise and @sarkodie dance. Dope.

Congratulations to Sarkodie on this writing camp and to all artists that showed up; this is what Africa needs if we are going to take the world on.

We need to go together rather than go as individuals.
