Hip hop artiste and Ekorso hit maker Kofi Jamar has shown gratitude to his fans for validating his entry into Mainstream.

Sharing in his appreciation message to his fans after winning Hip Hop song of the year and Collaboration of the year at just ended Ghana Music Awards UK, the artiste shared how grateful he is to his fans for holding him down after his entry in the Music industry.

He thank his colleagues Yaw Tog and Ypee for featuring on his Ekorso song, directors, producers, photographer, fashion brand and all corporate brand affiliated to his brand.

“To begin with, I want to say a big thank you to God for everything. My topmost love and gratitude to every single fan for the undying love since I emerged on then scene. You guys keep me going. You guys keep me on track and I promise to share with you nothing but good music. Thank you guys for validating my entry into mainstream. And to the Supportive Media, both digital & traditional and every single stakeholder who reaches out and treat me like I really matter, God bless you all. Thank you to Corporate Ghana for the brand affiliation. Big shouts to my brothers Yaw Tog & Ypee for creating Ekorso with me. Big love to any other senior or colleague act both home and abroad that has shown real love to the boy as well. I’m highly appreciative. Thanks to all DJs. Kofi Jamar, who is best known for being one of the pioneers of the Kumerican movement, was on the Shorts Show to share his experience about the Party In The Park event, his rap style, and a review about his Appetite For Destruction EP. 

Speaking about life after his hit song Ekorso, he said, “it’s been great. It’s being one of the biggest moments of my career since I started music. It comes with a lot of pressure”. 

Considering the different styles of raps like old school, and mumble rap, the fast-rising music star gave an in-depth explanation of his rap style. “I am a student of the game and don’t like to stick in a box. I always come out with a different style of rap. I try to make an impact with every song that I do and also try to win more fans with every song that I do. I can just do a Twi flow and an English flow just to win more fans”. 

He, Kofi Jamar, at the latter part of the interview gave a general review about his new EP “Appetite For Destruction”. “Appetite For Destruction is an EP that sorts to destroy the perception about who Kofi Jamar is and also give them something that they’ve never heard of.

 The EP is a blend of Afrobeats and Hip Hop and the colors are also based on the influence of the two genres. The neon green represents the afro style, nature, calmness and also paints the green image of Africa. The purple also represents royalty, bravery, and confidence. The first track reinforced the vision of the EP and the arrangements of the song were done by myself and the team”.

Ekorso hitmaker Kofi Jamar took to Instagram to announce the release date of his much anticipated “Appetite For Destruction” EP. “My EP ‘Appetite For Destruction’ drops on August 6, 2021,” he said.

He took the opportunity to express gratitude to the organizers of Party In The Park. “It was such an experience on stage at the Ghana Party In The Park 2021. I am most grateful”.

          Kofi Jamar also teamed up with Amerado to release the “We Outside” song. The song which was recorded in London and released a few days ago has garnered a lot of positive reviews from the general public.

In Lagos one would have thought that a Ghanaian song in recent time will never make it to its mainstream radio or even clubs but songstress Gyakie broke the jinx with her Forever hit single and since then it looks like Ghanaian songs are finding their way into the Naija market.

Recently a video of Burna boy in a Club surfaced where the grammy award winning artiste was jamming together with a lot of Nigerians to Ekorso a song by GadOne Records signed artiste Kofi Jamar from Ghana. 

As if that song was not enough, Ova Wise AKA Chariman with a Dog also got up when Jay Bahd Condemn was played by the DJ.
