CULTURE: Meet the Asakaa Music boys from Ghana Featured on Virgil Abloh Televised Radio

Ashanti Region which is located in the southern part of Ghana became the talk of the country when the youth in the region cultivated and pushed a movement called “KUMERICA”. 

Ashanti Region which is also the  third largest of 16 administrative regions (formerly 10) of Ghana came to the mainstream of everything. 

For so many months till now, the most talked about movement, culture and music is KUMERICA and the whole Asakaa music. 

The latter is a culture by the youth of oseikrom depicting an Ashanti rich lifestyle. The movement became the talk of town because of a type of music called Asakaa music. 

The Drill inspired music gave brith to new stars and a threw more light on their type of music they call – Asakaa music. 

After months of growth and topping charts with their hit singles such as AKATAFOC and SORE, the life living records boys are not just huge stars in Ghana but in the world. 

They’ve had the likes of Vic Mensah, Virgil Abloh, just to list a few from the STATES throw their weight behind them. 

It is no surprise that Virgil Abloh who is an American designer, entrepreneur, and DJ who has been the artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s wear collection since March 2018 has featured them in his Televised Radio episode 5.
