Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, a world-class performer and singer from Nigeria, has surpassed Wizkid’s previous record on the Billboard Hot 100.

Wizkid, the frontman and owner of Starboy, previously held the record for the highest-charting Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100. His smash song “Essence,” which featured Tems, an outstanding Nigerian singer, and Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, peaked at No. 9 situation on the diagram.

On March 21, 2023, the official billboard chart Twitter account provided an update on the events, announcing that Rema, who was 22 years old at the time, had broken Wizkid’s record in a chart dated March 25th, 2023.

The band has officially revealed the five boys who will make up the next generation of Menudo, nearly a year after Menudo Productions announced that they were looking for new members.

Nicolas Calero (10 years old), Gabriel Rossell (13 years old), Andres Emilio (14 years old), Alejandro Querales (15 years old), and Ezra Gilmore (12 years old) were announced as the new members of the boy band that has never aged. The group also released the first single from their forthcoming debut album, “Mi Amore,” as a way to celebrate the announcement.

In August, Menudo Productions and television personality Mario Lopez began virtually auditioning talent between the ages of 12 and 16. This marked the beginning of the process to find new members. The new individuals are multi-skilled entertainers with experience in acting, singing and songwriting.

According to Lopez’s statement, “Deciding on the final five was harder than we ever imagined because there was so much great talent to choose from.” The five boys we chose instantly clicked, and the music they made has gone above and beyond our expectations. I’m more excited than ever to introduce these boys to the world in less than three weeks, and I think we have several huge hits.

“Unlike previous group incarnations,” the new Menudo members will be “sharing in all concert, merchandise, and music revenue,” according to a previous statement to Billboard. Miami-based management will run Menudo.

On June 10, the global superstar of “Last Last” and “It’s Plenty” will perform at Istanbul’s Atatürk Olympic Stadium with his trademark soulful afrobeat sound.
