The smooth French and English flow on Ma Cherie is one that any good music lover in any French and English country around the world can look forward to. As a celebrated Rap artist in the Afrobeats era, a smooth amalgamation of Rap and Afrobeats beautifully delivered in diverse languages should be expected.

While, all projects by Edem mean a lot to him, Ma Cherie is particularly personal to Edem as it is a quick trip down his French background from Aflao. While the words Ma Cherie, is a French expression for My Darling, the very catchy word “Di nawo” in the song is an Ewe expression which signifies marrying someone.

Celebrated Ghanaian Rapper, Edem, has shared a now viral video of himself exchanging heartfelt pleasantries with the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo.

While an artist of his caliber meeting up with the President may not be that big a deal, the social media caption that accompanied the viral video is.

In his caption, Edem hinted the release of his newest project on Friday, 29th April 2022, which now begs the question, did Edem have a private listening session with the President before the release?

Although, the video in the post was muted, the caption evokes nothing but questions. Was he merely exchanging pleasantries with the President? Did the President listen to the song? Is the project going to have political undertones? The Indelible Foot Print of Her Excellency Anne Sophie Ave in The Projection Of Ghana Music

To the Ghanaian youth, the roles of an Ambassador has never been clearer and felt than during the office of the Ambassador of France to Ghana, Her Excellency Anne Sophie Ave. Not only has she consciously broken some misconceptions in the Ghanaian mind about her homeland, she has in a short time consciously made France and the French language desirable to most Ghanaian youth.

Her France in Ghana show was the best way to go. Her Excellency, earned her space in the hearts of most Ghanaian youth as she made her guests and close friends influential creative arts people Ghanaians generally adored.

From there, her undying interest in the creative arts and sports industry of Ghana has been admirable. But the industry that has felt her impact the most has been the much ignored creative arts industry of Ghana. From making appearance at shows, participating in dance trends, hosting of exhibitions at the Embassy and now projecting some of the biggest exports in the creative arts industry in France for a show.

The take over of the French media and space by Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Ghanaian photographers, influencers, bloggers and event team ahead of the event in Paris, is one that can be appreciated and encouraged. Ghana music together with some key players and enablers get to travel and cross bothers into a larger market. Which only paves the way for more of such events across the globe.

In my interview with Her Excellency on Oneplay Africa as part of the International Women’s Day Celebration, She made it obvious that making an impact in Ghana and especially among the youth is a priority of hers. So far her intentions to sell Ghana’s creative arts is applaudable.

Congratulations to Her Excellency, her team, organizers, supporters and the enablers in Ghana and in France for the initiative. The creative arts industry is appreciative of her immense contribution to the space.

Not Ready To Work! Most Ghanaian Youth Contribute to the Unemployment Rate in Ghana

Most of the youth seem to blame everybody but themselves for the high unemployment rate in Ghana. While bad policies in Ghana is a major contributor to unemployment, the work place behavior of most Ghanaian youth is appalling and needs to be discussed by the youth!

The average Ghanaian youth only needs a job to keep them busy or somewhere they can escape their nagging families, but not to work! Let’s face it, most of us would complain vehemently, do all the can to secure a job and two weeks into the job, we get busy with everything but our KPI.

The average Ghanaian youth wants to be given the chance to be creative and innovative, but without a strict supervision or accountability most of us end up wasting company data and time on social media, Netflix, movie download, connecting with friends and our small small side gigs that we had while unemployed at home.

The youth seem to have an excuse for everything, and those in the service and the hospitality industry are mostly the worst of us all. They seem unbothered, unconcerned about how their actions and inactions affect the company. The lackadaisical behavior towards work by the youth of Ghana sends most of us home as fast as a fart gets out!

Our inability to ask for help or take correction or guidance also has us by the balls, and our pride and ego comes above everything else.

Honestly, if the youth of Ghana can have an introspection and look at their attitude during their service period, attachment or a moment when they were once employed, we would notice that most of us are at home because we are just Not Ready for Work!

JUIC3BOY Gives The Keys To His Heart Freely To All His Listeners

The beauty in Arts is the freedom to create, and the importance of art, or creative pieces is to be appreciated. For most art consumers, appreciation of a body of work even gets better when it’s  two or more body of work, giving the consumer alternatives and a holistic feel of an experience that otherwise could not be captured in a single body of work. For painters, it’s a whole gallery of their works for exhibition, but for creatives like Musicians, it is albums or EPs.

Juic3Boy serves his listeners with an eclectic body of work not only for the purpose of appreciation, but a direct “Keys To My Heart” as he puts it. The 6 track EP is one that projects the new AFRO sound in diverse tones, tempos and in Rhythms that can only take a creative genius to put together.

It flows like cha cha cha, not just the immense feeling that flows when he sees his love, but the sweet Beatz by DB and the impeccable flow of Juic3Boy on Maganda which begins his love story. Maganda has quickly become fan’s favorite because of  the beautiful melodies that mellifluent voice that sets the tone for the project. Maganda describes how pretty and sweet a lady is, a picture perfect which is a perfect description of the Maganda masterpiece.

Juic3Boy reveals to his listeners that he is an Alpha male; positions himself as a STRONG man who is willing to fight, defend, and to lift the honor of his lover. Aside from being there physically to protect her, Juic3Boy also offers emotional protection pledging to love, stick by, and be there for his lover. Produced by Skirmisherbeats, Strong is that creative piece that on first listening gives you a feel of an old song, a rare characteristics of brilliant musicians.

To pray for forgiveness for wronging a loved one is an all too familiar tale that everyone can relate to. POISON that is hard to swallow because it was self made, chasing a memory that blinds one from seeing who truly matters. Poison was produced by Noiir and Arnel Ethier.

Still on the subject of making amends with a loved one for mistakes made, Juic3Boy  on Certibeats rhythm vows to RIGHT THE WRONGS as an utmost compensation. The uncertainty in his voice and the lyrics of the 4 minutes track, encapsulates the inner battle or quandary one deals with when they finally accept to right the wrongs they have made.

UNLOCKED, also produced by Certibeats is just a very beautiful way of Juic3Boy confessing his undying love and announcing the one who truly has the Key To His Heart. Maybe not his fans but with these flawless masterpieces, he definitely got the keys to the hearts of his listeners.

Finally, Juic3Boy gives all his listeners ONE REASON to come back for more with a final piece that gives a perfect closure for the love story explicitly journeyed through with the Six tracked EP.

Creatively, Juic3Boy’s decision to end the EP with a song produced by Beatz by DB who’s Maganda tune was an opener for the project only captures the unending cycle of love and relationships that has been existential.

The Cover Art accompanying this project only tells more about the artist. A young talent who does not only have music at heart, but is big on the culture and fashion that comes with the genre of music he does for both his Ghanaian and Canadian fans.

Accentuating on the artist, Joseph Owusu, also Juic3Boy with roots in Ghana, was born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in Ottawa, Ontario and later moved to Edmonton, Alberta. On December 1st 2016, Juic3boy introduced himself officially with his first single called Underrated after singing as a church boy for years. With the help of family and good friends, Juic3Boy has cemented his name in the music world with his Afrofusion style, capable of switching flows and melodies seamlessly.

Juic3Boy commented that:

I’m really trying to tap into Afrofusion/ Alte genre, with a mix of tempo slow and fast on my tracks. This one is more of a love body of work but I have the ability to create music with a wider range of subjects.
