Budding Ghanaian Hip-hop music star, Malcolm Nuna was a guest on Oneplay Shots to talk more about his album “Hasta La Vista”, friendship with Yaw Tog, and meeting the legendaryReggie Rockstone.
Speaking about his new album “Hasta La Vista”, he said, “It did well. I have never really put anything out there before the album and wasn’t expecting it to be big as it is”.
Moneyman wasn’t the lead on the album. My shawty was the most worked song on the album, as an artist in the studio, shooting the visuals. We shot some at Aburi. The power cut and we had to wait for the next day because there was no generator.
I made Moneyman by chance. It was just a normal day at the studios and things weren’t going on well. I had to record about 2 songs anything that I was working on my album before my manager comes. I got a beat from SamSlay and had to do something before he came to the studio”.
He also took the chance to talk about how he met KuamiEugene. “Myself, Yaw Tog, and Kweku Flick went to Reggie Rockstone’s office right after the VGMA. We chanced on KuamiEugene over there. We were all talking and he said that he likedmy stuff. I felt very honored.
I was sitting beside Reggie Rockstone and they played my song. He then asked whose song was that and the bartender told him it was my song and he said he liked it.
Kuami Eugene approached me and said that he wanted to make the song bigger. I was marveled and it felt so good. Big shootout to Kuami Eugene. He is a very good guy and may God richly bless him”.
